Our Products
High Volume Machines
Our facility has 25 molding machines, 22 Tons through 500 Tons, with capacities from 1oz. to 75 oz.
Sheet Molding
Wiggins Plastics regularly handles Sheet Molding applications for both the Electro/Mechanical industry as well as cosmetic applications for Consumer products.
Compression / Transfer
Wiggins Plastics has equipment ranging from 5 Tons to 500 Tons, along with 55 years of expertise in the Compression & Transfer Molding of all of the Thermoset materials.
Bulk Molding
Wiggins Plastics has the capability of handling Bulk Molding compounds in Compression & Transfer processes or using a “stuffer”, in the Injection Molding process. High Dielectric & physical strength make this a natural for a Ceramic replacement.
Insert Molding
Wiggins Plastics has the expertise to allow inserts and parts to be molded in one process allowing greater efficiency, thereby reducing costly secondary operations. This can be done in all of the processes noted.
Thermoplastic Resin
Wiggins Plastics molds virtually all thermoplastic resins in 17, “state of the art” molding presses with tonnages from 50 to 500 Tons clamping force. Shot capacities range from 1 oz. to 60 oz.
Insert / Outsert
Wiggins Plastics has vast experience in both “insert” and “outsert” molding. This involves placement of metallic or non-metallic inserts into the mold thereby producing a finished assembly within the molding cycle.
Engineering & Commodity Resins
Our strength is the ability to match the correct material to a part or an assembly, working with material suppliers to optimize cost, performance, and quality.
Thermoplastic Rubber (TPE/TPR)
Wiggins Plastics molds a variety of Thermoplastic Rubbers & Elastomers in various shapes for specific applications. Successes have produced significant savings for our customers by switching from regular rubber to their thermoplastic counterparts.
